Short wave IR A or infrared A

    Has a wavelength of 780 - 1400 nm. Depth of field approx. 4 - 5 mm. Advantage: immediately ready for use, time saving, more energy efficient than long wave by up to 50%. Disadvantage: often slightly more expensive than long wave.

 

Langegolf IR BC of Lange golf

    Has a wavelength of 1400 or more than 3000 nm. Depth of field approx. 0.1 to 0.5 mm. Advantage: cheaper, many (often Chinese) offers. Disadvantage: energy consumption, up to 50% more compared to short wave.
